About this form

  • Use this form to ask for an explanation of a Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction decision
  • Use this form to ask for a revision of a decision on you Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction claim.
  • Use this form to appeal a decision on your Housing Benefit decision claim.
  • DO NOT use this form to appeal a Council Tax Reduction decision. Appeals against a Council Tax Reduction decision should be made to the Valuation Tribunal Service

 

Before you start

  • Have your benefit claim number ready, You can normally find it on benefit letters we have sent to you.
  • Have you National Insurance number ready.
  • Have the details of the decision ready e.g. the decision letter/the date of the letter and your reasons for contacting us about it. 
  • If you have files you wish to upload to support what you tell us, know where these are located on your computer or mobile device ready to upload.
